@Rapsodymusic “All Black Everything”….if there’s one person missing from XXL’s Freshmen list, it’s RAPSODY.
LUYL has been a big supporter of this young lady and is always rooting for her. Rapsody’s been putting out free music all year long and is really bringing back what women represented in hip-hop culture. Reminds me of what Queen Latifah embodied and represented back in the late 80’s and 90’s. I’m excited for what’s to come for Rapsody in 2012—she deserves a lot more recognition than she’s getting today. Proves that while other female “rappers” like Nicki Minaj feel the need to claim the female hip-hop throne, it’s clearly being run by the women who are taking it back for our generation. While mainstream hip-hop female artists use more than their lyrics to hypnotize an audience, Rapsody is the last of a dying breed.
